The benefits of learning MLD

Why these practitioners are glad they learned and practise the Vodder Method of MLD

“......Dr Vodder training is internationally recognised & respected by the medical profession. The recertification of professionals on a regular basis ensures the highest of standards are maintained, achieving an excellent industry standard. I have also found MLDuk gives great support to members & is a great site of information. Level 1 training has allowed me to begin to work with doctors in areas of post-surgery and helped me to begin to reach a different client base. It is building my confidence to work more with the medical profession for post-surgery. I treated a female client for post liposuction surgery to help reduce swelling. After 10 treatments this went well. Her doctor told her that he could always tell when someone had MLD directly after surgery. Interestingly, she told me she had noticed her IBS symptoms had not flared as was the norm so she could only think it was the MLD that had helped her as this was the only different thing that had happened. Something unexpected and very welcomed.”

“I got drawn to MLD because it seemed a way of helping clients with recovery from injury and surgery. I had also done a facial training where we brushed on MLD and I found it fascinating. The results for my clients have been amazing, especially with headaches and migraines, ME, sleep and easing of soreness from all sorts of causes and activities and has contributed to a very busy practise.”

“I've treated a wide variety of people with MLD, and have seen some great results. From water retention, scar / operation / injury healing, sinusitis and headaches, it can be very beneficial. One example is a lady with chronic fatigue syndrome, who told me MLD is the only thing that can help her for a good few days. As her condition is long-term, it can't cure her, but she feels it makes her better for a while at a time, and that's a welcome relief. This also goes for a friend of mine who has an hiatus hernia - it makes her feel less 'gassy' and is one of the few things she feels can really help her. Another example is a client who likes lymphatic drainage on her legs, and says she notices the difference after each session, saying she feels 'lighter'. And generally, people tell me how relaxed and de-stressed they feel after a treatment, which means that their overall health is benefitting.”

“I chose the Vodder method of MLD as it's the original technique which is recognised and seen as the bench mark of quality by doctors and other therapists. Qualifying to Therapy 1 has added a new revenue stream to my business treating post-liposuction clients where surgeons recommend a course of MLD to support wound healing. Also I've now got a much clearer understanding of oedema, management strategies and protocols which have proven useful in all aspects of my work as a remedial massage therapist. I count this as one of the best and most valuable, useful training courses I've completed to date.”
